after spending all morning wondering why i couldn't post a new thread, i have finally managed to get some pictures on. i thought i would show you some piccys of the new hutch that my oh has built for my baby piggies.

insulation board fitted to outside to help on colder days. the hutch will be covered with a duvet and blankets for warmth too. it is very sheltered in my 'catservatory' built off the back of my house.

for some reason i cannot get any more pictures on at this time - having the 'forbidden' message come on again. i will try again later to put the finished hutch on. please bare with me:{
 
the hutch in its finished position.

it measures 6' long x 2' deep (front to back) x 2' high. there is a sleeping compartment for the three girls and loads of space. hope, the one little piggy is blind, so i want to try and keep it simple for her to find her way around. she certainly knows how to follow her nose to the food! the cats (all 9 of them) sit on top to look up the garden at the birds. unfortunately they cannot go out due to neighbours causing severe injuries to them.
it matches the other hutch that my oh built earlier this year for my other 8 piggies

amazing, you have done a great job, it actually looks quite easy making your own hutch, i might have a go when we get some nicer weather :)

i can send you some photos of different steps if you like. it will show you how to build it. it is certainly a lot cheaper than buying one if you can find a good wood supplier. we don't put felt on the roof as they are under cover so do not get wet. but that is easy enough to do.
 
Wow what a very handy husband you have! and 9 cats, how lovely. Could we see pictures of them too please, I love cats but only have 3

i'll put piccys of cats on another thread once i get the pc off my son for more than 10 seconds!
 
Looks amazing! Better than any shop bought Hutch I've ever seen! I loved how it's insulated as well, your Piggies will be very cozy!
