Meet our new Himi. She is purebred and 5 and a half months old
This is Rio who we picked up at the show yesterday at Rhiwderin
Community Centre near Newport.

Sooty had 3rd place in the National Cavy Club
5 star show in Class 582 Smooth Adult Sow
(adult Exhibator) and Soda was 2nd in the Welsh National
Cavy club class 260 Longhair Adult Sow and a special rosette.

Rio came from David and Joyce Marshall at Cinderhill Stud in Gloucester where
they breed Himalayans in black or Chocolate

Aww she's lovely. I love purebred Himi's :D

I have 2 beautiful rescue girls now, the lovely Millie and my oldie girl Tansy, they are both gorgeous girls.
I also have a big hunk of a rescue Himi/Abby boar called Alfie who although not purebred is none the worse for it and a real character. Have had quite a few Hims come through rescue over the years, alway really nice natured guinea pigs :)

Ye there lovely. Misty is a Himi X and I love the way he acts. He looks really cheeky with his red eyes.

I didn't know Himis had a reputation for being nice natured - that would explain Margalos behaviour then, she's a real sweetie :)

I'm not sure if they have a reputation as such but I know the ones I have cared for have been lovely natured pigs. We took in an elderly ex breeding boar called Yindy and he was a delight once we got a little weight on him and he felt better in himself.

I must admit I have a soft spot for them and any of the himmy crossbreeds....can't leave Alfie out!

I would def be on the search for a chocolate himi when MArgalo goes to RB (I know thats a bit morbit but realistic). Not to replace her but it just wouldn't seem right without a himi!

Awww what a beautiful colour! :-*
I was gona say i cant believe how many just so god dam cute animals there are, but i can believe it. I've never met an animal i dont like. I'l take them over humans anyday! If i got rid of the other half i could prob get some more piggies myself! ;D
