My New Girls!

The darker one (aby? aby/peru mix?) is noisily demolishing cardboard, while the lighter one (I'm thinking she's part sheltie?) is shyly chillaxing :)

We have names!

The darker one (top pics) is Marble, the lighter one (lower pics) is Willow

Looks like a nice set up. The piggies are gorgeous!

Perhaps consider adding a hidey house or two? Guinea pigs tend to feel more secure when they have somewhere to hide.

Congratulations, they are totally adorable! Beautiful girls :luv:

Just to add @GPcrazy, I'm ordering some cage liners and pigloo, cuddle cup and tunnel from Ziggy's Piggies but wanted to double check the dimensions of the cage before I ordered, so they will have lots of snuggly furniture

Having seen them in other threads here, I'm quite tempted by the carrot topped house, and their pig-grandma is keen to treat them!

Beautiful ladies - and they look very confident already.
The way to a pig's heart is through its stomach, there's enough tempting treats in there to get them exploring!

They've followed a bit of a pattern - have a good old root around, feast and a pop and run around then *OMG I'VE GONE ALL SCARED AND SHY AND NEED TO HIDE*

Mine love their cardboard box houses!
Glad they do have a hidey :)
Yup - it just wasn't in the original pic (I basically made it out of the massive outer box the cage came in - no way I'm wasting cardboard now!), you've got eagle eyes for spotting that :)

Awwwwwww they soooooooooooooooooooooo pretty!

I'm using this and the pic thread like a piggy record book, as I know they'll be all grown up in the blink of an eye!

Both had a little lap time today, I like to do this twice a day for about five minutes max at the moment, so there's consistency but it's very short times so as not to over-stress them. One time is them together (but Willow's a bit squirmy and inquisitive so it's not easy, but I like Marble to see Willow's confidence so she may be reassured :) ) other time is one at a time. Today, Willow took kale from me in lap time, I've never had this happen so quickly with a pig - 4 days!

Seeing how well the kale went down, I offered it to them both through the cage door. Willow took it first (naturally!), Marble was less sure but couldn't resist! Both are equally active in the cage, I initially only used to approach slow and low on a belly crawl, even then Marble would hide, but now they're not spooked if I pop stuff in from the top :)

Willow's quite a 'poppy' pig, Marble's done a couple of 'straight up and down' ones (she can pop really high!) and this evening she has been doing zoomie routes round the cage. Think she approves of the new layout :))
