This is what me and my mum have just done, just so we can see what it will look's like and how it all fits together.

All i need now is to pick up the correx, which will be tomorrow, thanks to my lovely fiance who is going to borrow his works van. :))

Hay loft.

We've not secured it properly as we had to take it apart again until the correx comes, but once its complete we will be putting zip ties in certain areas and will make the hay loft secure.

I'm very confused now on how much space is best a 3x3 with a hay loft which will have 6 grids or a 4x2 with a hay loft which will be 4 grids?mallethead

I don't think that there is much in it!

Before you take it apart, try to clean it out/make it up and then do so with the alternative; from my own experience, I would go for the more comfy option for you - you will be cleaning and spot cleaning A LOT!

Okay looking at your pic ignore my calculation including the hay loft as it was calculated with only one grid depth for the hay loft but may I say you will be more than fine with what you have done there for the lads. :(|)

My maths suck ignore me.... I think my cage is the exact size of my old cage :) Whoop whoop....

I found the other one far too hard to catch pigs and to clean :(

4 x 2... is bigger than 3x3 btw looks good hun what colour of Correx you getting?

White correx. :) That way it will go with anything, my mum's idea.rolleyes

What tape did you use to stick the correx together?

I think I'm happy with this 4x2 with the hay loft as it seems to be easier to clean, well i think...

I think the boys will love it.xx>>>

Thank you all for the lovely and helpful responses, as ive been tearing my hair out trying to get this right.

Isn't 3x3 bigger than 2x4? There are more grids and 2x4=8 and 3x3=9
so isn't 3x3 bigger or am I just being dumb?
Looks brilliant, I'm quite jealous of your cage, it's brill!:)

I think thats its more floor space if you get what i mean?
But a 4x2 = 12 grids and a 3x3 = 12 grids but the 3x3 is more of a square shape and the 4x2 is a rectangle so with the 4x2 you have more length, but with a 3x3 you have more floorspace, i think. @)

I'm rubbish at maths too and aint even going to bother trying to work it out! rolleyes

The cage gets made tomorrow just in time for the boys birthday! YIPEE.. :(|) :(|) :(|)

Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Lol we all seem crap at maths!inbreedinginbreeding
2x4 I think is better because they can run further in a straight line and stretch fully out easier. 3x3 does have slightly more floor space though.......
It's which ever you (and the pigs!) prefer
