My cages arrived yesterday but I didn't have the time or the energy to put them up last night. Instead, I've been working since 8am and, after almost 4 hours, I finally have two finished products!

(Well, I've built them...) After lunch I'm going to add the bedding and the hideys and will most definitely post photos! :D

AHHHH, I'm so happy! Finally I'll have cages that ARE big enough for my pigs, and not cages that P@H told us were big enough :(

The guineas are out on the grass, blissfully unaware of what I've been doing >:-) The weather is so nice today!

EEEEK, SO EXCITING!

And, don't worry, the cat bed under the cage is for our rabbits, we don't have any feline friends, and the radiator in the piggy room isn't used as it could get quite hot so, the cages are fine being pressed against it :)

Great Stuff! Where did you get the stuff from? Your piggies are going to love it! Could we have photos when they are full too? :)

Of course! :D I'm never gonna to stop sharing photos now xD

I got it from a site that I found through the Guinea Pig Magazine. Candcguineapigcages or something like that :)

I do hope so... :D I just wanna do right by my little bubs xD x

Have no worries :) In the odd event that the space makes them nervous just clutter it up a bit with hides for a week or so, and slowly take some out. They'll probably be fine from the first moment they're in but I can't see any other issue other than a (temporary) cautious reaction to extra space. Chances are though they'll be popcorning around and then settle to sleep after their time on the grass :)
Open-topped pens are great. I found with mine in increases their confidence :)

Do piggies ever escape the open top c & c cages ? We are going to get one for winter time and wondered whether we would need a roof.

I decided to bring the piggies in so that they could see their new homes! I have two 2X4 cages. I know that 2X5 is recommended for three guinea-pigs but when you consider that they were living in a 120cm ferplast cage and that one of the sows has bad hips and doesn't really move much, I hope you'll agree that this is a better solution that what they were in before. I couldn't fit a bigger one in without it blocking the patio doors which would be a fire hazard :/ They seem happy and I am too! I'm legit crying that I've finally been able to get these, having them in small cages really upset me... Oh dear, I'm such a wuss xD

They look amazing, piggies think so too by the looks of it! We got ours from the same company - very pleased with it.

Ours haven't even attempted it... I suppose it depends on the pig to be honest. Our girls will go over to the cage during floor time to say they want to go back home :) Piggies, I think are creatures of habit and routine....

Choooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooookens a double one at that!:drool::drool::drool:

Yay happy happy happy happy and confident by the looks of things :) They look lovely (the pigs and the pens :))

They're loving it :) They've already found their spots too. Billy likes to sleep on the hay with his flank pressed against the pink pigloo. Cupcake likes to sleep behind the pigloo in the corner xD In the other cage Pip has the log tunnel and Cocoa has the Trixy shelter. Mop just sleeps wherever she wants to :3 Its lovely having open top cages because Billy doesn't mind being stroked even when he's in the cage so you can just walk by and tickle his ears and its so cute :D

Yes, open top cages are fab, and great even for nervous piggies (not that your look at all nervous) as they steadily get braver in them :) The do allow for more interaction :)
Aw sweet Billy :)

Cocoa and Pip are probably the most nervous out of the ones that we have and even they'll lie still out in the hay while we walk back and forth, we're certainly very blessed with our current piggy squad <3

The cage looks lovely, and the piggies seem really relaxed too. I'll have to order from that place soon as they seem to be good going off what others have said. My current c&c is partly held together by tape and my need to make it bigger
