So as much as I had some pride in the one I made, it ultimately felt too small so I got a new 5x2 C&C cage. It just came in today! Caramilk and Cookie really seem to love the extra space. I followed guides on this forum when it came to keeping the scent of the old cage in the new cage. So far nothing but pure harmony.

They’ve really landed on their paws with you! Enjoy the extra space Caramilk and Cookie.

I try my best. 😋caramilk from living in a bush as a homeless piggy to living in a "mansion" with all you can eat hay and fresh grown grass and herbs lol. the extra space allows me to do more as well. might as a balcony eventually. My main focus now is getting some fabric and making a few liners so i can swap them out. I really like the segmented ones as it makes cleaning their cage muuuuch easier. cleaning it per section. i think i'll make couple full length ones and a bunch thin ones that segment out to the length of the cage. change out the segmented ones daily and the over all one every few days.

I have two sets of fleece I swap out for each other - one with a 4x2, a 1x2 and a 1x1, and the other has two 3x2 pieces. I also have a chunk at one end of the cage that's just paper bedding (Megazorb, Back2Nature, wood shavings). I don't know if I'd even want bigger pieces, 4x2 is as big as I'd want I think.

Nice I looked at some of your old posts to see pictures of it, It looks really good! Btw Best of luck quitting smoking. its tough i would know. i have yet to beat the beast my self.

Been 25 days now, if it wasn't for the vape I'd've not made it past 25 minutes.

Re: your liners, this is just an idea, but you might want to try making 2x2 liners, say 4 of them, then have a 1x2 space left where you can put hay, or something similar. It doesn't stop it entirely but it might mean much less hay getting all over your fleece and because piggies tend to toilet where they eat it can keep most of the poop and pee off the fleece, too.

just got a bunch of fleece and absorbent padding. wondering what to make other then the liners. feel free to leave suggestions!

Nice job on the setup. Always exciting getting them new cages and new things they enjoy in general
