My Midwest Cage

Defects? Cleaning is easy enough, just reach in through the top and go from there. If you're using the lid, remove it then reach in through the top obviously. Water bottles will attach anywhere on the outside of the cage above the liner, and the liner itself comes with instructions for where to place the velcro straps for optimum fit.

Thx It's just in the reviews I saw a few ppl rant about the Canvas bottom and how annoying it was.

It could be fiddly for some people, yes. But that's by design, and that's what makes it work so well in practice.

I've never had a problem with them, they're easy to clean out, pack up, move.

Your cage looks very nice have you see the people who take the middle part off so it can be one big square?

It's a lot of work and requires a rethink of the canvas bottom, because it's designed for the 2x4 space, two of them wouldn't naturally fit into the 4x4 space. Besides keeping the whole thing together means if someone needs separating off, they can easily be placed on either side of the "fence" so they can see each other but not fight etc. Also makes it useful for timeouts.

That sounds like a lot of work to do I thought It was as easy as sliding them out. I can't wait to set up mine. Mine is without the roof as I have no hazards inside the house

Nope. The six sides of each Midwest come already connected, you just unfold the into position and then attach the base via its velcro straps, which is the most fiddly part. In order to have a 4x4 box with no centra panels, you'd have to physically remove two squares from both cages and then attach each set of 4 sides to each other, which would require tools, it's not something you'd be able to do by hand.

And that's without working out what you'd do with the base, because it's designed to fit on all six sides at once. Removing two of those sides means the canvas would need some work to make it sit properly too.
