I am moving house soon and my mum has agreed to get a piggy shed! :) the hutch we are buying is 5ft by 1.5ft- is this big enough for 2 piggy’s? I might extend it anyway. The hutch has legs- but only very short ones. The shed is obviously going to have windows but will it be ok on the floor of the hutch- will they get enough sunlight? Or do I need to somehow find a table!?

Hi Wizzy - it's not essential but , if you can afford a nice sturdy table, it'd be better. 3 reasons

They'll be safer if some animal breaks into your shed
they'll be at a height where it'll be easier for you to interact with your guineas
you can use the floor for floor time .

PS - make sure your shed isn't placed anywhere in direct sun as they can get very hot in the summer - and I suggest you get a shed with windows that can open ( I have a stable type door on mine ) as you get better ventilation .

Oh ok- would a foldable table be ok? Like the ones that are sometimes used for camping? The hutch is rather long so it’s hard to find one
Thank you for the advice :)

We use a plastic wall papering table, if we have to move the piggies for any reason. It is 95" long & 22"wide. We got it from Homebase & I think it was about & £15.
