However I hear every sneeze and every rumble so sometimes I'm in there in the middle of the night trying to figure out which pig has sneezed/made an unusual noise!Wow that’s a fab home for your piggies, I would love that space, it’s so well designed, the builder must have had piggies in mind when they built it
Hi thank you, I normally clean it once a week and sometimes as I haven't been that well recently I have left it longer (9-10 days) and I'm surprised that it's not that bad considering. Normally it doesn't smell when I change it weekly but I put that down to it's a very large space and therefore I can get away with changing it less often. I put puppy pads at the bottom under the fleece and hay. The main reason why I've been able to get away with changing it less often is that my hay area which is just purely hay with puppy pads underneath is just under half of the cage now and they tend to spend most of their time on there and not the fleece. When I do my weekly cage clean I just throw all the hay and the puppy pads away in one go and roll it up. Quite often I will end up reusing the puppy pads under the fleece if it is urine free. I know that alot of people with the fleece use cage fresh on top of puppy pads under the fleece to prevent smells. I did find today that it did smell a little bit if I'm honest but i only smelled it when I opened the door and when the door was shut I couldn't smell anything. The main thing you need is ventilation and to keep the windows open slightly! I will definitely be cleaning them out today! Best of luck!aww, so cute! How does the bedding work?
