Hi guys. Today a few minutes earlier I noticed that under my female guineapig there was blood . I don't know I'd she is pooping or peeing blood. She isn't letting me see that . In addition to that I want to say that she might be pregnant. I am not sure but seems like she gained weight. She is eating playing and sleeping well. I don't know why there is blood . And there was a little bit but that was blood like not bloodish pee or something. That was pure blood . I don't know what's wrong but I'm really tensed . Please help me . Thanks .

Hi and welcome
Please pick her up very gently to have a look. In a birth or miscarriage, there should be no more than a teaspoon of blood at the very most.
In any case with acute bleeding, whether that is from the urinary or productive tract or from an injury or wound, a guinea pig should be seen by a vet as soon as possible.

Unfortunately right now there is no vet available. And I cleaned the area which was blood coated.. then after passing a few minutes I checked her again the some blood was oozing out . Is there any emergency remedy ? Please help me out .

There should be a vet available to you somewhere? Unfortunately this isn't something any home remedy is going to fix. Does she live with a male?

Hi

There is no emergency remedy for ongoing bleeding from the anus or reproductive tract unfortunately, I am very sorry to say. :(

I’m sorry to hear about your guinea pig. Blood in a guinea pig’s urine or feces can be a sign of a medical problem. It could be due to a urinary tract infection, Pyometra, ovarian cysts, tumors, trauma, cancer, or kidney stones. It’s important to take your guinea pig to a veterinarian for a proper diagnosis and treatment. In the meantime, make sure your guinea pig has access to fresh water and food and monitor her behavior closely.

In the UK we are very lucky that we can access a vet 24/7. Sadly, in India, having a vet that will even see guinea pigs isn't easy to find

I hope you can find a vet soon. I’m sorry your don’t have access to good veterinary care where you live. Sending you a hug. ❤️

Only a vet has any chance of helping - but even then it will depend what the problem is. If her body is trying to expel something all you can do is let nature take it's course. I would be trying to keep the area clean by gently wiping with damp cotton wool so there is no build-up of blood (which can attract flies and cause germs to breed) this will reduce the chances of infection if she's not got one already. Pregnancy is very high risk for piggies unfortunately because their babies are born so big. This is why on this forum we don't encourage breeding - there are too many sad stories - and we try to give piggies long happy lives. But not every pig can make it to old age. I hope it's something simple - like a bladder stone which she might be able to pee out. But you really do need a vet x

Hi guys . First of all thanks for all the love and support you guys gave me . Now here's a little bit good news. She stopped bleeding that night and I took her to a vet. The vet said everything was alright. She's eating and sleeping well. Thanks a lot guys .I m truly grateful.

Hopefully it was something like she peed out a bladder stone with a bit of short-term pain for some long-term gain! Whatever it was I'm so happy for you both that she's doing OK 💕
