So on the 19/03/20 my guinea pig almost died, he had food lodged in his throat and we wasn’t sure how long it was there possibly 1 day maybe less (we think he was trying to eat too quickly due to my other guinea pig picking on him) well anyway I removed the food and flushed his throat with a syringe of water. He has since improved but has changed a little bit, he bites my knuckles and my finger tips (I think that’s due to hunger though so that’s alright) but when he sees me he will come over and lay half under my bed and half out right where I am or if I sit on the floor he will lay down wait for me to pet him and then go about his business, I’m not sure why he is doing this so if anyone could help me that would be much appreciated. He also wheeks when I call his name which he never did before either. (He is now separated from the other guinea pig and is on critical care food to try and help him gain weight and strength back he’s doing much better than he was though) any help to understand this behaviour would be much appreciated. Sorry if this is long and confusing.
