My Guinea Pigs cage (Photo heavy)

Hi,
I've been meaning to post these photos for a little while now.
This cage is currently home to 2 boars call Johnson and Carl. They are 15 months old and seem to really like it.
Its 190cm x 110cm at the widest points and the usable area is just over 20 square feet.
I made it using MDF for the base, conti board for the sides and a large sheet of correx for waterproofing. Under the fleece is a double mattress protector.

I have also made the little cushions and the waterproof inner for the strawberry house. I have 4 sets of fleece, houses and accessories in orange, blue, light and dark pink.
I guess they are kinda spoilt.

The love seat as I call it.

Strawberry house. I have 6 of these in different colours. The wouldn't use this at first, but I have put a small fleece forest in front and now its used by Johnson.

I hope you all like it and if you can spot any improvements I would be very keen to hear them.

Is it machine washable? If so, would be so tempted to buy one...

Hi, I dont think its machine washable. I have a folded up towel in it though a so far it has remained clean. It it does get dirty I will cut the bottom panel off and just have it on the fleece base of my cage.

I got 1 of these, great size for my 2 boys.

Ps loving your cage, I wish I could have mine with no cover on top but I think the dogs would probably use it as a bed rolleyes

Looks amazing, my boys have one of those orange cubes and they LOVE IT ! it's there favourite thing, i have no idea why rolleyes , i love how everything matches, i like to try and make everything in my cage match :3

Thank you. I find it quite hard. I looked for the orange stools for a long time. I found an orange carrot bowl in a charity shop yesterday. I did do a tiny squeak, lol.

Sorry I missed your post. The carrot bowl I bought isn't sturdy enough for my boys. I will add one on these to my next zooplus order.

Thanks everyone for your positive comments. :rose I am really pleased they you all think that it's good enough. I will post on here again when I have a new set of fleeces in. If I remember to take photos before the boys mess the cage up.
