Hello guinea pig form its been awhile since I have posted
but i'm having some concerns about my poor little guinea
pig Toffee. He has been acting really weird the past few days!
he has been slouching,Not eating, and not walking. he can barley
move and droops every time we put him in the cage .
we have to feed him by hands since he cant walk by his self
or eat by himself

Can someone please tell me
whats happening to this poor fella?

Please have him seen by a vet ASAP as an emergency. If he is not moving or eating by himself, he really needs to be checked out by a vet as a matter of urgency for diagnosis and treatment. I hope he's okay 💕

Toffee is really hurt! he's teeth are very long and he's veryy very skinny
he cant move or walk he cant even eat what do i do i'm calling up a vet but
i think its almost time to say goodbye to the little angel.

Ive merged your two threads. It helps us greatly if you keep to the same post for the same topic as we can then give ongoing advice.

Please urgently step in and syringe feed him mushed pellets or a fibre rich recovery feed every two hours, as per the guides linked in above. You must also weigh him every day so you can monitor his food intake more closely.

If his teeth have overgrown then he May need dental treatment and for the vet can determine whether it is something they can solve so that he can recover from.

Hi we did feed him with a syringe and he was not interested and not taking it
he just lays there not doing anything or moving we are going to try to weigh him
as much as we can to see if he's getting better thank you.

It sounds like he urgently needs a vet as an emergency. Have you been able to get hold of a vet?

You must syringe feed him every two hours as piggies need food constantly going through their system, however, if he is not able to swallow, and no interest in eating at all then sadly he may be too far gone.
Weighing him will only tell you if you have been getting enough syringe feed into him, but if he isn’t taking any food at all and not eating independently then he unfortunately won’t get better

Have you been weighing him weekly as routine up until now? If so, when he did start losing weight?
How long have you been trying to syringe feed him?
Are you mushing his pellets with warm water?

I don't know if this is needed but I'm worried. His fingers/paws are curled up into balls?

I'm reading some of it right now actually. And thank you, and it turns out he has most of the stuff going on in the section "

BIG HUGS

To be honest, from your pictures, I sadly thought that this may be the case. Read on; there is advice for what you can do for him to make his passing as gentle as possible on Toffee.

Our dying guide has all the tips and practical advice for what you can do and what to look out/brace for in a natural death since it can be a lot more physical that most people expect; especially the last half hour or so depending on the order the organs close down and the overall fitness. It will hopefully help to keep you from freaking and feeling bad.

I am so sorry.
