My Guinea pig is a boy , I don’t know the age , his name is Carmel , and we just got him yesterday. He has been bleeding out of his left nipple since yesterday, when I picked him up I noticed it. But anyways lets get to the point. Today I was holding/playing with Carmel when I decided to put him back in his cage, but then he laid on his side , so then I just picked him up and put him into his transparent green castle with the other Guinea pig we got that is named Frappe, but then I took out frappe and I noticed there was pee on his fur. So I put his fur into the water bowl to wash it out while he squealed , then I put him back in and got out Carmel again. I picked up Carmel very easily and he didn’t even pick a fight. So I took him out and I put him on my shoulder because he likes to climb around on my shoulder then jump off. Then I held him and wiped away the blood on his nipple , then I picked him up and I held him in the air , then I sat him back on my shoulder only to him not moving , so then I tried standing him up , but then he collapsed falling over. But he wasn’t dead because he would still kick his feet , his heart was beating but… very fast…, he was still blinking , and when I opened his mouth and I put my finger there he would close it , but only while my finger was there , I tried feeding him but he wouldn’t eat so then , I put him back in the castle for a little bit. A little bit later i forgot about this incident I took him out and then I played with him but he wouldn’t move. So then I started crying but I never found out what’s wrong.=(

Hi and welcome

Please get him to the vets asap. No piggy should be bleeding from a nipple.

Also give any new piggies time to settle in; they are prey animals and not born for being handled by humans.
