Last night my guinea oig git a huge fright when I lifted up his igloo. He then ran around in his cage like crazy until I managed to catch him. Now he will back himself into one corner, he will not eat, drink or anything, nit even his favourite veggies. He is still running in his cage like crazy and would jump against the cage bars. I am afraid he will hurt himself. He won't go into his little home. He is making the weirdest noise and is walking really slow and carefull in his cage. I tried to change his bedding because I taught maybe there was a bud or something scaring him, but that didn't work and he was up all night, with kept me up all night. Please help. New things that happened in his life. A rabbit moved into a cage next to him. Both are single. The rabbit is female and he is male, I got him a new water bottle that was bigger then the old one.

Clearly he is feeling quite unsettled right now.
Give him some time to calm down and realise he is safe again.
Cover at least half of his cage with a large towel or blanket, make sure he has food, water and a large pile of hay near his house, and then give him some space.
I am sure he will calm down in time.

Hi!

Your guinea pig is feeling very, very frightened and his prey animal instincts are on high alert.

Here is more information on what you can do to help settling him down, how you can avoid triggering a new fright (avoid any predatory behaviours!) and how you can speak to him in his own body language.
The links below help you to understand and explain with practical tips what you need to do or not do.
