Hey everyone 
About 7 months ago, I got my first guinea pig! He was really fast since he was scared at first, so I named him Flash
I loved Flash so much, and everything was going great until 2 days ago. There was a flood in my city, and unfortunately, Flash drowned in his cage around 4 A.M. It's all my fault, I should have put him on higher ground, and I should have woken up and checked on him. Now I can't stop crying about him, and every time I remember his cute little mouth and hands and eyes, I start bawling again. I feel so, so awful, and I can't sleep at night. I wish I could just go back in time, he would still be alive. I feel so horrible
My mom suggested that I get another guinea pig, but I'm scared my new one would not live as long either. What should I do?
