Hi! First time poster! I have 8 guinea pigs and I think one of them might be sick.

I woke up and I check my piggies room and I saw blood in various places on the floor. I checked them all and I saw blood on one of their bottoms. I have had a similar experience with one of my older guinea pigs that had a uti and she lost her hair and it would pain her to wee. It just so happens that the Guinea who has been bleeding all over the floor is her sister. We are very worried and we don’t have the funds to send her to the vet. Any advice?

I’m sorry to hear this. I’m afraid she does need to see a vet - bleeding from the genitals or anus could be any number of issues but all of which require vet assessment, care and treatment.
Is there anyone who can help you with the vet fees?

All we can advise is that you switch from the routine weekly weight checks and instead weigh her daily and step in with syringe feeding if she loses weight (any pain can stop them from eating enough hay). This does not and cannot replace a vet check and proper treatment though.

I hope she is ok

Also to add, a UTI doesn’t cause hair loss.
The symptoms of pain and hair loss would lean more towards ovarian cysts.
