Hi there.
One of our boys, Jett - was just enjoying some time in the garden. I noticed he was nibbling on bindweed and quickly ran over to his run to stop him, as I was unsure as to whether pigs can eat this stuff.

Please can someone advise? I’m a bit worried. He seems okay for the time being and I’ve given him a big chunk of cucumber to “flush” it out, but any advice would be appreciated!

They can eat hedge bindweed (large white flowers). If that’s not what he ate then just keep an eye on him for one. If he worsens then take him to the vet.

Ah, okay. Good to know. I read online that it could be poisonous, so I have been very concerned! I believe it was hedge bindweed. I’ll keep an eye anyhow. Thank you!

They can eat hedge bindweed (not the seeds), it's the field bindweed (creeps through grass, has small pink and white flowers) that can cause liver damage.
