Hello,
I have two female guinea pigs about 10 weeks old one of the aches her back when you go to pick her up but is very happy to be stroked on my knee for ages, my other one used to love to be petted she let's you pick her up but will not sit still for two mins now,
Is this just because they are getting older? More inquisitive ?
She is like this even when she has been in her run.
They live indoors

It depends on the pigs i guess, one of my boys will sit still for a while, where as the other only if he's in his favourite position, for example up on my shoulder nice and high, some piggies are just more adventurous than others, it's perfectly normal (:
