I'm lucky that a friend from the states kindly mailed me some C&C grids when I was a new guinea pig owner. From there, I've kept an eye out for the grids in shops and buy some new ones whenever I can. I use my grids primarily for my guinea pig's cage, but also for the rabbit cage when they were indoors.

This thread is a thread of all of the cages I've had for my pigs.

2x4 base cage with a 1x2 upper level. A friend made the steps for the pigs but I soon switched the stair case for a ramp when one of my boys at the time fell off them.

Same cage as above, but with an expansion when my two boys at that time (not my current pigs) began to have dominance issues.

Cage in its current location, still a 2x4 cage except it's on the floor. Has a 2x1 "hay loft". The hay loft was soon removed and replaced with a hay rack when Koda (then only 12 or so weeks old) showed he was having difficulty getting up.

Basic 2x4, minimal hidey holes and few toys because Cashew was becoming possessive of toys causing conflict. Not pictured was that there was usually a large fleece draped over the nearside of the cage and the hidey hole box pictured was normally not in the cage.

correct use of a hay rack? It's a cube folded in half. Muscle power ala Teadragon!
