Since everything says chipping/woodchipping is so bad for guinea pigs health i thought I'd try this week to give my guinea's cage a make over.

I need ideas, I've heard people use fleese? Does this have to be any kind of fleese and I have a guinea pig that will eat everything he can get this paws on, I've caught him once eating a plastic bag =[ I know this will affect him later on in life... I even stuck my finger in his mouth to try and remove it but he'd swallowed it ¬_¬ Crafty thing!

Anyways... So... What should I get, where should I get it...? I found some lovely cheap fleeses at this clothes shop near me, do I need to buy a litter tray thing or make an area where they can poop and such?

I think it's around this size http://www.petsathome.com/find/category-is-6+small+pets/breed-is-guinea_pig/category-is-6C+Cages/product-is-14490

i use a layer of newspaper, towels, puppy pad then fleece.i have attempted to put in a litter tray but they dont use it as such :~

Just old towels will do? Puppy Pad you can get from where? Argos used to sell them in 10's but i think they don't anymore. and it's just normal fleese?

well ive been getting the puppy pads 5 for £1 in poundland but you can get them from places like wilkinsons, home bargains, pet shops.yes old towels will do or buy some cheap towels.and ive been getting my fleece from poundland too

I use megazorb as well. I find it very absorbent . One of my boys is on fleece/vetbed but my girls cage is too big for the amount of vetbed it would need. I would need an industrial sized washing machine to fit it in!
