Hmmmm, correx severely chewed by naughty guineas, plus where I've scored it to fold it the correx has split in alot of places so hay and poo getting all over the floor....

Any ideas about how to sturdify a C&C. I think I might get thicker correx next time, plus the next cage I make is going to have to be closed as I'm starting to foster dogs more and the pigs are in the room that is used most.

Anyone want to design me a C&C? I'm so useless i'm quite surprised I managed to make the one that I have at the minute to be honest! xx @)

You could put the correx on the outside, or cover it with fleece. Use strong water proof tape for the open edges. I put the tape all the way around. Hope this helps :)

My pigs have only had their C&C for about 2 and a half months and started to chew one of the corners - so I just put a cardboard tube over and then put my bulldog clip on top of that, to keep both the cardboard and correx secure. Obviously if they chew everywhere, you might not be able to do this but I thought I would suggest it anyway.
My pigs, now, instead of being able to chew the correx, they chew the cardboard and I just replace the cardboard when I need to.

Mine chewed theirs all over so I bought a ferplast 140 and they havent chewed that once

Thanks! Think one of the main problems is that I have an entire boar living next door who tries to get in at every available opportunity - hence the chewing :)) Think I will get some new correx and totally seal the whole thing up!

yer mine chew the correx too, I'm going for a thicker one soon, plus mine is in bits where Ive changed their layout.

My lovely brother got me some 6mm correx and it's the best i don't even have grids to hold it up just strips of wood across each end, 4mm correx does bend and weakens the scored part's as i have changed my correx 4 times and this is so much better, i also cover the sides with fleece i use cageliners but you can just cover it and use binder clips to hold in place, mine used to chew correx but they dont now theres fleece covering it

If you can salvage the correx you could use duck (or duct) tape. If it's just cracked in parts duck tape will fix it and is waterproof / strong to 80lb (or 70lbs now i cant remember). Duck tape also comes in a range of colors, at least in the US.
