My boys, who are about 9 weeks old, seem to be getting on okay, but make a vibrating noise a lot! Sometimes when i am stroking them they do it, and sometimes in their cage. Are they okay?!?

They are rumbling; in the cage it's dominance beahviour, when you stroke them and it's continuous, it's most probably pleasure. If it's short and a bit growly, then it's something (mostly a sharp noise or a certain cuddle) they do not like.

Here is a good guide to boar behaviour:

Here are two websites for piggy sounds:

I hope that helps you!

Wiebke! See that noise thing the Rumble the second noise thats exactly what Fred does and the noise the baby makes hows that romancing?

No, that's the dominance thing.

But rumbling is a very low aggression way of saying: "by the way, I'm the bigger boy here". Even with girls you get lots of rumbling during the first few days or even weeks. If you want, it's the piggy equivalent to discussing whose job it is to put out the bins and do the washing up in a new partnership...
