Hi guys. I have a male guineapig aged 1 year. He eats good and is playful. From today morning I'm noticing he is walking a little bit differently
He is walking jumping is both back legs. Is that a problem ? I recently lost my another baby. I don't wanna loose another one. Please help me.out
.

It can be a sign of pain. Your piggy will need to see a vet to find out the issue.

I’m sorry for the loss of your other piggy.

I hope he is ok

Hi

Is your boar still living with all the babies? Please be aware that you need to remove any sow babies from him and their brothers before 3 weeks or you will have to deal with more pregnancies, this time with the added risk of inbreeding and a greater risk of more fatal outcomes. the earliest documented sibling pregnancy is 24 days.
Guinea pigs start making babies for the rest of their lives basically as soon as they are weaned. Sows come into season again within hours of giving birth; they are basically nonstop breeding machines. The genders need to be kept strictly apart or you quickly end up with a breeding nightmare. If a bad gene is in play, latest by generation 3-4 most babies will be at risk of inheriting a faulty gene in play from both parents with devastating consequences for them. :(

The hopping can be down to an injury/sprain in one of the legs (not at all uncommon in lively young guinea pigs) or to vitamin C deficiency (scurvy) if your piggies are not on a unlimited hay based diet with some balanced veg containing vitamin C and vitamin C reinforced pellets.
Can you please tell us what you are feeding your guinea pigs so we can make sure that your piggies get what they need and are not at risk of avoidable illnesses? Scurvy can be healed and prevented if that is the problem). With the death of your mother potentially from pregnancy toxaemia I would like to make extra sure so you do not have suffer any more unnecessary heartbreak.
