Dental My baby guinea pig has no teeth

We bought a pair of female guinea pigs in March turns out one was pregnant and gave birth in may she had three baby’s one died and we have just discovered that one has no teeth (and is also blind :( ) any help would be appreciated
 
Aw, I’m so sorry you’ve lost one of the babies and your other little baby has no teeth. Can I ask if this baby has a white coat with pink eyes? There is a defective gene in some guinea pigs when bred can produce babies with blindness, teeth issues, digestive issues and bone problems. I’m Going to send you the link. If your blin baby is not white haired then this is not one of these lethal piggies

Sadly, this sounds like you have a lethal white baby. Is your other baby a different coloured coat? I’m going to tag someone who has two lethal white girls, one that is blind and has teeth problems Rose and ROsie, she will give you lots of advice @furryfriends (TEAS)

The other one is white with red eyes but she looks a lot healthier and has grown a lot and has no noticeable problems. Thank you for your help

They can be very handicapped but lead normal lives (they don’t know they are blind) and others have Little/no problems at all. Can you let me know where you are located? There is a very good dental piggie vet in Northampton (UK) who could have a good look in her mouth to assess any problems she/he may have teethwise
 
Do you have any suggestions on how to feed her even though she has no teeth ?

Has she any back teeth? Can you see her chew if she has something in her mouth? She may well have molars and pre molars, just no incisors. try hand feeding her small pieces of vegges or cut in little sticks. It will be trial and error. Try cutting hay or grass too. Can you tell me how old this baby is?

We can’t see any teeth at all but it looks like there are stumps so maybe teeth will grow. She is just over a week old
 
It sounds like your guinea pig is a lethal gene piggy. They can live a really good life, regardless of missing teeth. Guinea pigs can eat perfectly well, without incisors, but obviously can't bite into hard foods, such as carrot or broccoli stalks. We currently have three lethal gene piggies here. Ruby and Rosie have missing incisors, but both eat very well. They use their back teeth to eat properly, but also enjoy porridge oats and softened nuggets can go down well too. I buy the
Burgess Blackcurrant and Oregano nuggets, as they are tiny and can be easily picked up by the lips.

Thank you very much for the advice we have given her softened pellets and blended kale in water which seems to be going down well
