hi all, my 5 year old guinea pig Hazel is sadly twitching and not moving much/at all, the boiler in our house has broken but it hasn’t decreased temperature massively, she is also weeing herself as she twitches, it’s really sad to watch and i’m not sure what to do, hazel belongs to my 13yr old daughter and she is in buts at the thought of losing her, has anyone got any advice for my family and I?

So sorry to hear about your girl. I’m sure someone more experienced will be along to help.
Keep her warm and close and see a vet ASAP. I’m sure she’s surrounded by lots of love

Thank you so much, the one thing stopping us from taking her to the vets is that there are none open, so other than keeping her warm there is nothing else we can do.

I’m sorry to hear she is unwell. Please take her to an emergency vet as they are the only people who can help in this situation.
Thank you so much 😊 out issue is that we are unable to take her to the vets as none are open and won’t pickup calls.

Hi, I would call the emergency line regardless of travel and they can advise. I hate to say it, but she could be suffering and there is no way to tell how long she will last- it could be longer than an hour. It could even be something that can be fixed.

I’m really sorry to hear this, definitely try everything you can! And try to get hold of an emergency vet
