Thought I'd introduce my piggies to you! I think it'd be fun to do this every once in a while to see how they grow!
This is Alp, she is very chill and extremely friendly. She was born on November 23rd. After only two days of settling in she is comfortable with me walking around fast, putting my hand in the cage to feed her and she is a bit more submissive and friendly than Winifred! I thought she was either an Aby mix or a Swiss mix, but I've been told she could have a bit of sheltie in her! (you can't really see, but she is quite fluffy)

And this ginger piggy is Winifred! Only hours after getting her she was showing signs of being more dominant, for example not letting Alp come into a hidey hole and chasing Alp. As the day went on, Alp started being less submissive and ended up being the one chasing Winifred! Winifred is extremely skittish and very easily frightened (hence I only have a few pictures of her) I was watching her and I think I literally just moved my hand and she ran away! She is just a simple smooth haired piggy! My mum says she looks a bit like a ginger rat because of her pointy nose :) (you can barely see her in the pic below but she's actually hiding next to Alp)

Thanks that's the ever beautiful Betsy! When I get home tomorrowI'll post a piccie of all of mine in a Line up just for you.

Such pretty girls <3 it'll be interesting to see how Alp's fur grows, we don't have a lot of shelties on the forum at the moment (to my knowledge)

Yes! I can't wait to see how they are when they are full grown piggies! They are both snacking on some curly kale right now, playing together!

My sheltie always nicks his food from his buddy. Feeding time is always fun! And at least with sows you don't have the hormonal teenager phase to deal with!

They have very strong seasons so they are still hormonal, unfortunately :') And yes, snacktime is a time I enjoy as well because I get to bond with my piggy babies! I just filled up their cage with loads of fresh hay and they are hiding underneath it, finding cauliflower in it, eating it and all sorts ❤️

I actually just removed the hay rack after reading the warning in the 'dangerous guinea pig toys' thread, I don't want to risk anything!

My mum was convinced they were ready to handle today even though I kept telling her they were still settling in, so I handled Alp and she managed to handle Winifred! I didn't hold Winifred as she is really skittish and quite scratchy, also she takes a while to settle down when being handled. But, after she is settled, she is a dream to handle!

Meg is the undersow and the bottom of the pecking order with the loudest squeaky wheak you have ever heard! It always amazes me that such a small creature can sound like she's being murdered when its veg time! She has a little golden patch on one side and cute little white toes on one foot.

Hi everybody! Sorry for no updates the past 2 or so days. I've been closely watching Alp as it seemed she was trying to pull her hair out, but recently I haven't seen her doing it which maybe is a good sign! I'm sorry but I don't have any pics either, my phone is too dangerous to use as the battery is puffing and pushing the screen out :( But, on the bright side, both girls are now getting more confident when I'm around! They both come up to me and sniff me when my hands are in their cage, they both confidently take food out of my hands and I think they are starting to get used to my voice! Yesterday they were chasing each other a lot and I was hearing more frequent, louder teeth chattering! I've had them 5 days now which is crazy, it feels like longer because I'm so used to them and all their shenanigans!

That photo is adorable, how do you get them to line up so beautifully & stay still for a photo? My 3 don’t want to sit still together for very long, they want to explore! Xx

Thanks Kath! As you can see Meg got bored and wanted to go off and explore. I just plonked them on the sofa and hoped for the best really!
