I love the colour.
In all honesty you might struggle to get a usable loft and a gently sloping ramp into it, depending on the length.
It is difficult to tell from a picture, so it would help to know how long it is (internal measurements).
But huge congratulations on making it yourself - I wouldn't even know where to begin!

Thanks. I am so pleased I managed to build it myself as I am not good at diy.
It is 2 1/2 feet by 4 feet

Well done for making such a great home for your piggies love the colour :D I think the only way to add a loft would be to halve the height of a portion otherwise the ramp would be way to steep, you would need to find a way of supporting it maybe a ikea computer shelf? You can buy the legs too then, make sure you build it up far enough though so they can't jump over :D there would also be a really nice hidey place under the shelf!

What a brilliant idea!

I'm currently making a loft for my cage, I'm using contiboard from b and q (they do it in all sorts of sizes) for the base, sides and ramp and I'm using mini table legs also from b and q to support it. If you made yours pretty low, you wouldn't need additional sides, but you might want a barrier at the front so they don't hop off and hurt themselves. Good luck and keep us updated if you do it :)

going to google contiboard when I get home

Finished my loft today. Mines quite tall so I've got four sides and a plexiglass front but if you made yours short enough to fit inside your current cage you'd only need a barrier at the front really. Hope this helps... any questions, ask away

I love your cage but could not build something so smart! Definitely need to do mine half height I think....

B and q do all sizes of table legs starting really small and because they're metal I don't have to worry about the loft becoming unstable if they chew the legs
