I just feel like he’s always fighting to drink and eat. I have two of everything except a food bowl. My bigger boy is always puffing himself up, constantly rumble strutting, pushing the baby. The baby is gaining weight, and I know he eats, but it’s always at the mercy of the giant fat boy. I have a Midwest cage, could adding two square feet really make a difference in boys? After over two weeks of them being at my house it feels like they will never get along, or tolerate each other.

Hi!

Please either get a second food bowl or sprinkle feed around the cage. Things will calm down when your older boy is starting to feel more confident in his new role. The dominance is on the mild side and well within acceptable limits. ;)

Adding more space can make a difference, especially when the youngster reaches teenage.
