What should i have in my c&c cage i have and all natural hutch so they can much on it if they want food tunnels hay racks water a toilet area and ino guinea pigs dont really play with toys but is there anything i can put into there cage to keel them entertained what is your opinions on chew rings for guinea pigs i havent bought them just incase

Toilet roll tubes with a slit cut down the middle so your boys don't get their heads caught stuffed with hay, cardboard boxes filled with hay and paper bags stuffed with hay make brilliant cheap home made toys :)

My guinea pigs are obsessed with a "cat" plastic ball that has a bell in the middle, they chuck this about all the time so would recommend this... and also they are happy with the simple things, toilet roll tube filled with hay... paper bag filled with hay... ball of screwed up plain paper (no ink on it), plain cardboard box with a hidey hole cute out so they can go into it, erm other than that, have a look on YouTube for diy guinea pig toys...

In terms of chew rings, I personally have never used them, the hay does the most of keeping their teeth down, but maybe wait for what other people's opinions are... my piggies do love Willow items though, Willow tunnel and balls that are in their c&c are their favourite!

I see no problem with toilet roll tubes, just as @Claire W explained, cut a slit so they can't get stuck, and maybe take it out if you notice excessive chewing if you are concerned 😊

Hay cubes and carrot cottages from Rosewood (available on Amazon) would be top of my piggies must-have list :)
Also brown paper bags or big envelopes filled with hay and bits of veg (especially coriander) as a treat once or twice a week.

Thank you so much every on this form is so nice and helpful
Ive been a piggy owner for years and regularly referred to the forum to help, but only recently made an account of my own. If it wasn't for this forum, I honestly don't know what I would've done the last few weeks with health issues from my piggy Honey. Everyone is so friendly here and I love this forum so much, sometimes I find myself socialising on this more than I do other social medias 😂😂

Another vote for a carrot cottage! My piggies (and my rabbit has one too!) absolutely love destroying them! They enjoy paper bags filled with hay...in fact anything they can eat and destroy at the same time!

Ino a little about that my boys are masters of destruction

Any excuse to show off Comet, he was a natural for the camera.

He would also be a great supporter of toilet roll tubes filled with hay. He loved them.
Hahahahha hes adorable i gave mine a toilet paper roll and the just ripped it to shreds

He was an absolute terror with a cute face lol. There always ended up 90% of the hay out of the bag, and he liked to annoy his cagemate with the toilet roll tubes. For him, it was great entertainment. Poor Blitzen.

I used to keep carrot cottages in the cage and Comet would periodically decide to move the one Blitzen was sleeping inside. I don't know why they put up with each other lol, but I miss them both terribly, they were a great pair.

You know those dried stick treats you can buy that tie or click onto the cage bars? They're not really good for pigs but if you buy one as a treat, I always put them as high up the cage as possible. They could still reach, they just had to stretch a bit for it.

Thank u i will look into getting 1 and keeping them up a bit so i they have to stretch and work for it

Mine love anything made of seagrass. Also any sort of tunnel. When I first put a tunnel in they run through it, turn around, run back through it and repeat many times. It's so funny to watch. They also like a stick to chew, they like to throw them round as well as eating them.
