The girls have been settling nicely into their c&c cage. They are getting much more curious about us and very vocal about when they think veggie time is (all the time according to them!).

They are about 3 months old and sisters. Muffin is the light brown and white, and Skittles is the black and white.

It seems Muffin has established herself as the boss! They seem very happy and friendly, always checking our fingers to make sure it's not veg! They have a little lap time time with us most days, although Skittles is less keen and starts to nibble!

I love watching their zoomies in the evening!

I have had fingers chomped on, just in case I was hiding the veg in them. They always seem so surprised to find out I don't have edible fingers.

I have a 10 week old baby, he also is just learning the difference between fingers and veggies.

He’s started to learn about fingers, but apparently my elbow looks like the best second option.
He always gives a lick afterwards just to double check he isn’t missing anything

Some more Muffin & Skittles! This week I save seen both rumble-strutting, followed by chasing and bum-sniffing round each other in circles. It started with Muffin earlier in the week, but Skittles got her back yesterday. All harmless though, and they got distracted by hay quite quickly! I'm guessing they were in season, but it's all new to me!

Yes, they probably were in season, they are full of hormones! My Kiki is the noisest piggie I’ve ever come across when she is in season.

So my beautiful pair are now neighbours after a nasty fight. Thankfully they still seem to enjoy each others company through the bars, despite Skittles' gratuitous rumblestrutting by the cage divide! Both have put on a good amount of weight this week, after all the upheaval of separating and attempted reconciliation, so hopefully all good from here. They also seem to be more comfortable being handled which is lovely for us all.

This week has seen the return of Skittles' non stop rumblestrutting! They have both discovered pea flakes and weeing absolutely everywhere. I'm just waiting for my new set of pee pads to have their final wash and then I might just have enough to go round both cages! Doesn't help that Skittles decided to have a nice sleep under her pee pad today - she has nice fleece hides, a curtained area, a log hide, a massive box of hay...

And Muffin figured out how to drink normally!

It's a hard life being a pig!

I've finally got enough pee pads to mean I only have to do a full cage clean at the weekend!

They are getting on well in their separate space, although Skittles occasionally gets sprayed when her rumblestrutting by the bars gets too much for Muffin! Muffin is also a fan of the forbidden hay (through the bars from Skittles' pile) although Skittles returns the favour by positioning her poops to go into Muffin's cage

The girls have been gaining weight nicely, and seemingly enjoying life. They had an exciting adventure last week when they moved upstairs for an afternoon while we had new windows put in.

Hilarious moment when Muffin was enjoying her hay cookie by the divide and Skittles managed to steal it through the bars. The squeak of disappointment from Muffin! She did get another one, so she wasn't upset for long.

Skittles has also been rumblepopping. I wonder if she is not gaining as much weight as Muffin as she is the more rumblier of the two! She is gaining every week though, so not worried. It's so cute to watch.
