Junior Guinea Pig
Hi
Back again to this fountain of information! Muffin is still squeaking a little bit when when passing poop and wee. I have taken him to the vets twice. The first time he was given Metacam and Baytril and for the follow up yesterday I was told to stop the Baytril but continue with Metacam. The vet who is a small furry specialist (!) said that antibiotics are not needed but that the Metacam will help with inflammation. Muffin peed on cue whilst at the vets yesterday and there was a small
Amount of blood and protein in it. My major worry is bladder stones but the vet said he didn’t think it was as he couldn’t feel any and his urine wasn’t gritty. Muffin is eating and drinking fine. Next step will be an x ray if no improvement but that would be under anaesthetic ( they won’t do it without) and that makes me so worried for him! Has anyone had anything similar to this? Thanks so much x
