I am pleased to say that Muffin has bonded with an 8wk old Swiss boar who I have named Teddy :) They have been together now since Saturday afternoon and all is well. Very strange hearing Muffin rumbling as he had always been the submissive pig when he lived with Cola; now he is top pig; he knows he's the boss but he's being very gentle with Teddy. I will try and get a photo of them together soon, once Teddy loses his fear of the camera. :))

Great news! So pleased hope they continue to get on well. Looking forward to pigtures :)

Its funny you should say that your submissive piggy has now become the boss, as this is exactly what is happening with us too, Bubbles was submissive when he lived with Patches but now Patches has left us and we've adopted Clive its the other way on, Bubbles is quite a lot older than Clive (4.5yrs vs 1.5yrs) and although Clive keeps trying to be the boss Bubbles is having none of it! Funny how the roles can switch!
I hope Muffin and Teddy continue to settle in together, we're 6 weeks in to our new pairing now and the boys still have their rumbles, bum sniffing and chasing spells. Lol.

Good luck!

That's brilliant, looking forward to photos.

Thats brilliant news. Really pleased for Muffin and Teddy looking forward to the pics:D

They are so cute . Bonding with my Murray and Jack seems to be going better today how long has it taken for your piggies x

There is more rumbling, chasing and mounting from Muffin now than there was when they first met a week ago. He is certainly letting Teddy know who's boss! Teddy generally puts up with it but lets Muffin know when he's had enough. Although there is a lot of this dominance behaviour going on, there's no aggression whatsoever. They are still getting to know each other.

I think they were snuggled in the tunnel together as something had scared them and they both made a dash for it at the same time. Cue photo opportunity I've been waiting for all week.

I love the piccies of Muffin & Teddy, especially the 2 of them in the cosy together. I've had my piggies for ages & they've never done that. It seems like the bonding has been a big success.
