hello everyone!

Long time no see... I have been so busy recently.

I enquired awhile ago about dealing with my guinea pigs cage problem which is that it gets so dirty. In the area that they feed in, the build up of poo and wee is dreadful.... I have tried making them a little feeding room as you can see in the photograph but thats just gets clogged up (it does save the rest of the cage though at least).

Here are some pics of how I have the cage arranged, unfortunately the cage is not always this tidy and clean - they really are very untidy.

I have a 2x4 kitchen area in my cage

but my cage is like this now with kitchen on bottom floor

I can slide the kitchen out and clean that twice a week but the rest of the cage once with daily poop cleans

You could try lining the bottom of the eating area with cardboard or newspaper? Atleast the urine would be absorbed that way. I have a small litter tray that I do this with, next to a hay rack and with the bowl of biscuits near to it. It encourages them to poop and wee in one area that is easy to clean up.
