Moving to a flat

Does anyone have their piggies on a fleece cage liner in a flat? At the moment I pick up the poops from the fleece but there's always lots of poo crumble and hay and nuggets left which I shake well out the back door, before chucking in the washing machine. Moving to a flat soon. I've read about people using hand held vacuums, would that make up for not shaking out the fleece? Thanks.

I use the vacuum and it works good unless the hay is wet (from pee or water bottle), then it sticks to the fleece a little more.
