ok so my pigs live inside my shed which is insulated, and the hutch has a hutch snuggle and cover over it too. The other day I went in there and it was a little cold so I panicked and brought them straight in (I was thinking of bringing them in anyway but was worried about how my dog would react around them) anyway, so they're currently on my bedroom floor (no where else to put the cage) my dog will not leave them alone, he's whining and barking at the cage, scratching it with his paws, the pigs look quite stressed too, not eating as much, hiding all the time. Would it be fairer to move them back to their hutch with heat pads or should I keep them inside now they're in? Please any help is appreciated xx

To be honest I would leave them outside, it's clearly stressful for both dog and piggies. It sounds like they are well wrapped up and the change in temperature won't help them. If you are concerned I would put a thermometer inside the shed, attached to the hutch, monitor the temp and use heat pads during the night. As long as they have a good house filled with hay, fleece covers they should be fine.

If you're like me and live in the countryside, it's often colder than the city so I am extra cautious of temperature and dampness seeping in. But my outdoor piggies are suitably wrapped up tonight.
