Hello! This is my first post on here, being the proud owner of two rescued piggies at Christmas time. So far they've lived indoors with us but I'd like them to be able to spend time outside, and preferably live out there during the summer months with free access to the grass etc.

So I'm trying to find them some outside living accommodation, something they can live in and also have access to the grass whenever they fancy in a run. Their indoor hutch is a 4ft double-storey one with no easy way to see how to attach a run so I think it's easier to just let them have two separate summer and winter accommodations!

Does anyone have any advice on good value good outdoor run/hutch combos? I can find runs and hutches individually, but the ones that combine the two are at least as big as the one we already have and I'm reluctant to pay another £80+. And if they have access to the grass, presumably their 'indoors' bit could be smaller?

Also, I presume they will need more bedding once they live outside to keep them warmer at night - any recommendations for that?

Any help (or links to other resources) would be very gratefully appreciated!

Thanks.

Could they maybe just stay indoors but get a run for the grass and let them spend a good few hours a day in it? I think a hutch&run will be quite expensive but may be wrong, hope someone can help more

I dont know about anyone els on the forum but its almost impossible to get a new cage under 80 pounds so the second hand route would be the best Ebay, pre-love etc. Hope you find one soon ! :wel:

I've just bought a Hutch Company double Chartwell from Home and Roost for my 3 http://www.homeandroost.co.uk/shop/ I looked at ebay for hutches but they were either a bit horrible looking, too far away or unable to dismantle.

I got my two 120 ferreplasts from ebay for £30 each.
