Hello all,
Cut a long story short we are bringing a new kitten home soon and my Piggies live in my bedroom. I will be needing to use my bedroom as a seclusion room for my kitten whilst I introduce her to my other cat She will be in there for a few days before she will venture out. My guinea Pigs are at the moment in a C&C cage. I am wondering what you all think about moving my guinea pigs into the fabric pen (see below) and moving them into another room or even keep them in my own room but out of the way of the kitten. How will changing the cage affect them? will it cause any major stress. If you have any ideas of how I can get around this, I would much appreciate any help.

Thanks!

Why not build up your c &c in a different room? My pigs seem to LOVE a change of cage design - it doesn't seem to stress them at all, quite the opposite in fact.

I know you'll be putting that fabric pen in another room but if your kitten escapes (and what about your other cat) that pen doesn't look too cat proof!

I agree with @tabelmabel
Sine they are already in a C&C maybe just move to to another room.
Even if it needs to be made a grid or two smaller, it should be fine for a few days.
My concern with a fabric pen would be how to clean it after a day or two of constant peeing.
Plus I would worry about chewing (but then I do have Eddi who is the master of destruction!).
