I was just wondering when people were going to be moving their piggies inside (Shed, House, Garage) for the winter months?

I have been getting the Shed ready, (Its an old shed that use to be used for tortoises so it all warm and insulated for the piggies) I have been going in to the shed everyday to see how the temperature is because in the summer months it too hot for them. It has started to become a nice temperature now but the piggies seem to be enjoying the last of the summer sun and grass.

So i was wondering what month do people move their piggies in?

When we are moved into the Shed i shall post pictures of their new home for people to see :) I always find its great to look at other set ups for ideas :)

Mine are already in the shed, but I leave the door open with the mesh screen in place all day and they have permanent access to a run via the piggy flap. They'll be in there year round.

As Sprogmama, mine moved in to a shed a few weeks ago that they free range in. I leave the top half of the door (it has a stable door) open during the day with wire mesh apart from when it is tipping it down. They will be in there all year apart from if we get stupid temperatures like we did the year before last (-15 here) in which case they shall be coming indoors.

My two are coming indoors at night for now, and they'll probably be indoors full time in a few weeks. Our house tends to be quite cold any way,and my window is open pretty much all the time so the temperature fluctuation is minimal. Unless it's freezing outside I like to let them enjoy the outdoors before winter comes.
