So the landlord has decided he wants the Guinea Pigs removed from the premises in seven days or we are getting kicked out even though in our contract it says we can have a pet. We have decided to move out anyway as the place is too small and obviously getting rid of the piggies is not a option. My only concern is making the move as stress free for the piggies as possible as they have only just gotten used to a new surroundings and recently a new cage. I'm thinking maybe of leaving their weekly cage clean a couple of days longer so they can have a familiar smell around obviously I would still spot clean twice daily because I'm a bit (ahem alot) OCD about keeping their cage neat. I'm probably over thinking the matter and they will be fine but I've only ever had cats so this is going to be a new experience for me. What can I do to make things easier for them?

At suppose at least I wont get spewed all over this time like last time with the cat.

Sorry if this isn't much help, but playing a radio station or song etc that they might be familiar with? I find my boy Ginny relaxes / isn't as fidgety when I play Adele because of how many times I've had her on the radio in their room. Other than that, the scent thing is a good idea.

Also, not sure if this is possible, but maybe attempting to retrieve an item from your new home before moving in advance to introduce them to the new scent? Good luck with your move by the way :)

Just a few tips, hope they help.
Leave something unwashed from cage clean so they have familiar smell.
Put towel/blanket over part of cage in new house while they settle for a few days.
Have you got a friend/relative they could go to for a few days while you are moving. This maybe less unsettling for them while you get out of old house and new house sorted out. Moving boxes and furniture around creates a lot of sudden noises.

With my rabbits I have always found that they settle surprisingly quickly. I keep their used litter to put into their new home (same with the hamsters when I moved recently).

Plenty of hiding places and lots of yummies will help too. Best of luck. You will probably be waaay more stressed than they will!
