Hiya guys,
I'm planning on moving house in the next few months (hopefully), and ome of my biggest issues is what to do with my piggies and rabbit.
Currently they all live in my bedroom, i love them being in my bedroom, but obviously they take up the whole room and my partner is allergic so that doesnt help! The place I'm going to is a little bigger, so i was hoping to move them out my room, i dont want them.outside so only options are lounge or conservatory, i wanted your opinions on them being in a conservatory please?
I would never ever put them in any harm, and id never wish for them to become poorly with the cold or heat. If i had to they would stay in my room, if they stayed in my room any advicr or tips on how to get a run/hutch sorted for them to give me some more room? Obviously rabbit is in a seperate hutch and my male pig is also seperate from the females overnight.
Thank you
Lorna

I personally wouldn't put mine in my conservatory as it gets up to 40 degrees in the summer even with the ceiling blinds on and windows open so definitely no good for my guineas and it gets almost as cold as outside in the winter at night. My guineas found the heat above 25 degrees in the lounge very distressing in the summer and we had to put cool blocks wrapped in towels to help them. I love them being in the lounge.

Hi Lorna :) Welcome to the forum

Conservatory's can be difficult because they are heat traps in summer and freezing in winter. Unless you could regulate a stable temp all year round I wouldn't recommend it. Lounge would be better option if possible

When you say your male pig is separate at night do you keep them together in day? Has he been neutered?

Be lovely to hear more about your piggies

I would say living room as well. My pigs really struggle in the heat in the shed in the summer. If I could keep them not in the heat I would as they get so so hot and just lazy about all day panting. They should be fine in the conservatory in the winter though as a temporary solution until you can get them sorted properly.

Living room vote here too! I love having my piggies in the lounge :luv:

Hiya guys, thank you for your replies :)
I did think this about the conservatory, so i definitely won't risk it!
My only problem with the lounge is that because my male is in a seperate hutch overnight i need to fit two hutches in there, does anybody know any good companys/websites i can have a look around for hutches?
My male is neutered yes :) he gets along really well with my girls, i have tried him living with them fully, but my girls started fighting eachother after a couple of days, as soon as i put him back in his home they stopped.
They all seem happy with him being in there during daytime though.
Thank you again guys :)
Lorna
