Hey guys!

Just looking for a bit of advice, as it's getting colder now, my guineas live in an indoor run at night and are out during the day if it's dry. Some people have said this is a bad idea because of temperature change for them?
It's mainly because my elderly piggie has a thinner coat now and finds it harder to regulate her body temperature, and I can't split her up from the rest.
They seem happy as Larry indoors, and are a lot more active. Just making sure I'm not messing up their bodies or anything like that! :)

I have also wondered about this in regards to my rabbit. But the temperature differences here in winter are really drastic (-15 out and 16 celsius inside) so I know that I can't be doing that for the most part in winter. But I wonder what the range is with the temperature you're moving them into.... say it's 5 degrees outside and you bring them into your house which might be 15 degrees. Is there a minimum or maximum?

I have taken that into account, they are in my room, so I'm constantly feeling the temperature for them.
They have a small indoor fan on them and the window is always ajar. (I just wrap myself in blankets ;))
So I make sure it's not a huge difference.
I have noticed they will just lay around if it's quite warm, so I know the temperature is just right when they're running around chasing eachother and jumping all around I guess!

I wouldn't put them outside, it is too cold isn't it at the moment? What is the temperature where you are?
You could put them in a indoor run though for extra running space. Some people on the forum have no way of putting piggies in runs outside anyway, as they have no garden.
