Hi everyone, my two guinea pigs live in the bluebell hutch from pets at home in my garage for the winter, they have insulation round the sides and a run in the front. Last year we had a rat who tried to get into the hutch and started biting it. Unfortunately we had to kill it because it was eating our stuff and kept coming back after being removed safely. They have came back (a mouse family or a rat) and today i heard some nibbling behind the hutch. Tomorrow i’m going to move everything and see what’s happening but i’m not quite sure what to do. I’m scared they are going to get in the hutch but i do not know how to keep them away. Tomorrow i will to find out if they’re getting into the garage or if they are already inside the garage (they have been living in our loft for a while and we are still working on the infestation) If anyone has any advice on how to keep my pigs safe or potentially get rid of them it would be much appreciated x

If it were me I would call a pest control company.
Show them your set up and explain your concerns (you have guinea pigs) and ask for their suggestions.
Mice and rats can become very big problems, and sometimes the most efficient way to deal with them is using a professional company.
