More whiskers?

No problem just curious about this.

I noticed my 4 year old guinea pig has more whiskers than I remember him having. Unless I’m totally losing my mind, but I feel like he grew a couple around his eye and on his upper cheeks. Is this a sign of aging? Or am I imagining things lol
 
Sounds like he’s maturing. 😊. That sounds so sweet though. Bet he’s gorgeous.
 
I do think facial hair in guinea pigs can change as they get older.
I have absolutely no scientific basis for this, but I know that Ruby developed more facial hair as she matured.
I guess it is kind of the equivalent to people growing hairs in their ears when they get old :D

Sometimes companions nibble off whiskers or they fall out. It is not a sign of ageing.
 
I love great whiskers and love to photograph them when they shine out in the light in their full glory.
