I'm having a solo holiday for a few days and so the husband doesn't have to worry about all the pets, I'm taking the piggies with me.

I've got...
1 x c&c travel cage packed down into a box
2 x fleece/mattress protector liners
1 x tarpaulin
2 x log hides
Toys (may well just put in some flat pack cardboard and make a tunnel that I can bin on the way back)
Assorted bath mats and pee pads
Food including a box of hay
Medication
Cleaning supplies
2 x piggies in 2 x carriers

Their case is bigger than mine for 4 nights!

Any tips on slimming things down?

No help here I’m afraid. Enjoy your time away.

Possibly too late but when I've gone away for weekend I've bought a spring open, plastic, child play pen / paddling pool. Light and flat until opened. The largest size (check the height of the sides) and only because my pigs aren't major chewers, and going somewhere with no cats etc.

I agree with the above, a pop up playpen is ideal for short term. You can get them in all different sizes with high sides or fully enclosed :)

Enjoy your holiday! Hope that piggies have a great time too :D

My boys don't get on so they have to be separated so that automatically complicates things. And Dash is a major chewer...I can't win

We're here though and we've decided to split the lounge between us. Only took about 5 trips to and from the car. The cottage owners probably thought I was moving in permanently 😃
The boys are currently munching on hay and I have a beer.

I have worked out that I can use their carriers in the cage though so next time around I might not bother with some of the chunkier bits like hides, tubes and litter trays. I'll just bring some cardboard to make temporary tunnels and use the carriers as hay trays.

Wow it looks lovely for your piggies! A holiday, with piggies, without family, I'm jealous! 😁 Hope you enjoy it.
