Did anyone watch it last night? It was on BBC1 at 9:00 - 10:30

It was pretty interesting but sad too :( Made me cry lol.

It was about animal testing and these people who were protesting against building the Oxford University Animal Lab I think! I've slept since then :P

So glad I didnt watch it! Might have done if I knew it was on.

I wasn't going to watch it but I decided to in the end, I was sobbing by the end of it, my friend phoned me in the middle too ::)

There was one point where this woman operated on a rat and then at the end of the day he was just put to sleep :( and there was monkey that they supposedly trained to sit in a 'chair' the chair was a tiny cage that they made it climb into, not a chair in my opinion.

I can't watch things like that I'm way too emotional :'(

Same here, anything to do with animals that can be upsetting, i have to give it a miss, it would pray on my thoughts

I'm not suprised you wouldn't want to watch it lol, I'm kinda wishing I didn't.. can just remember the images in my head, they weren't as bad as some I've seen, but they still stay there.

I considered watching it because i keep pet rats but i was worried i would be too upset. It said in my paper that the programme would investigate whether animal testing actually worked.

Did they find out?

Ive not watched it yet, videoed it, having just watched behind the mask an AR dvd recently I will prob watch it at the weekend - behind the mask is inspirational - all anti vivisection and pro campaigning, but upsetting and sad too, but am glad i saw it. This prog I'm guessing will be pro the Oxford lab? Seemed more pro testing people listed compared to AR people/activists?

There are alternative methods of testing heres one charity that fund alternative testing:

http://www.drhadwentrust.org.uk/

they have an online petition to stop animal testing - please sign if you agree!

carrot_tit, I'm not sure whether they found out whether it "works" or not, of course there are a few pros and cons of it. The person who's voice went along with it decided that he was pro-animal testing, after seeing this person who had something wrong with him and knowing that operating on the monkey/rat could save him.

alisont, it's mainly against it, after about an hour of it there is a group of young adults who set up a website and a group of people who were pro animal testing. Thanks for that link too :)
