Monkey - Dad of the year!

Oh well done, Monkey. Lovely to see you nurturing little Leander
 
I was captivated first by the videos of Monkey and Bunny and then them being joined by Leander. What a bunch of absolute heart stealers!
 
He’s such a lovely boar! He cared for Nettle, when he was so poorly, towards the end of his life. He’s just amazing with the two baby boys! If they start getting silly, he steps in and gets them to behave properly. He’s firm but incredibly kind. 💙💙💙
 
I'm just so glad that I made the decision to get the lump removed that Monkey had had since arriving in December 2021. We had initially decided to leave it, as it was small and didn't seem to be causing any problem. However, it had suddenly started to grow much larger. I discussed it with Simon, who said that we were getting close to the point where it would become difficult to remove, if we didn't do it now, so just days after becoming foster daddy to Bunny, he went in for surgery. Bunny went along too and Monkey sailed through the op. I actually don't think he realised he'd had anything done, as he's so laid back! He came home that evening and he just continued with his care of Bunny, as if nothing had happened! I really hope that they will remain as a trio. I feel fairly optimistic that they will!
 
So lovely to see- what a super-dad. Boars can be so kind and gentle, brilliant to see this in action caring for these youngsters! :)
