Hi, I’m sorry if this has been asked before.
We have an older pig, around 5 we think, that needs his teeth rasping. We’ve popped to the vets today and she confirmed this and said it would be £200, as it would be a general anaesthetic and with associated risks for older pigs etc.
Does anyone know a vet in the Staffordshire area that will rasp without a GA? I’m hand feeding softened pellets at present, but obviously they will just keep growing, and could probably be an on going thing, which we wouldn’t want multiple GAs.

You could ask your vet to refer your piggy to Simon Maddock at the Cat and Rabbit Clinic in Northampton. He and his wife, Kim, are the most experienced vets for anything dental and they carry out the dental work without GA.
Hi, thank you. We visited the guineapigvet in Matlock today, she sorted teeth and we have anti bs and pain relief.
Crossing everything he perks up!
