Hi all, apologies as this thread has probably been annilated however all the threads i can see date back a few months and links no longer work for verious reasons. I have recently bought 2 C&C cages for my 2 pairs of boys and need lots of comfy and absorbant cage liners to go with them.

Does anyone have a place that sells them?

I can recommend Ziggys Piggies! I have two cage liners from her and they're great.

With cage liners, do you put anything underneath them? Also how often do you change them?

Thanks

I don't put anything underneath them. It depends really. Because I have 6 pigs on mine it gets dirty fairly quickly so every 4 days usually.

But with less pigs I'm sure you could last maybe longer.

Thank you, they sound really good! Sorry just one more question - how much do they generally cost? I know it probably depends on the size but a rough estimate would be great.

I have got vet bed but probably not enough for when it needs changing. These maybe a good bedding to alternate with!

l can recomend Chucklebunnys, thay are so well made and very compedetivly priced :tu:

Ziggys Piggys are great! I got two fleece cage liners made that were 120cm X 70cm each and Ziggy charged £42 for both including delivery. I've been using them for months and they're really good quality, absorbant, wash well and my girlies seem to like them too! :)

Ziggy's Piggies did my liners and some cuddle cups etc too. All lovely and good price and supplied quickly. Highly recommended!

Fleece cage liners confuse me, every time I look into making some or buying some, they're always made from different materials! I've been going out of my mind comparing vet bed to fleece liners and have finally decided on cage liners but I have no idea where to go from there...

Can anyone shed a bit of light as to the best way to make them, or what materials the ones you've bought have for absorbency etc? I've seen that people also like to use mattress protectors too... Which I'm thinking about trying.
Any input would be appreciated!
:help:

Sorry to interrupt on this thread, I wasn't sure if I should make a new one or not but I can if needs be :)

I went and got some cage liners from ziggys and they are great quality!

Please could you advise how to wash them - settings and powder/liquid etc.

Thank you! X

Really simple to wash and they wear really well. I've washed mine at least 20 times and they look as good as when they were first delivered.

They come with washing instructions (mine did anyway) but I just brush them off outside to get all the hair and hay off, then throw them in the washing machine on a 40 degree wash and use non-biological washing liquid. I don't use fabric conditioner as this effects the absorbency. :)

Oh and in the summer I line dry and when it's raining I just put them near a radiator. Apparently you shouldn't put them directly on to radiator.

Thank you, that is really helpful! I did think they would come with washing instructions- I got them sent to my mums and she opened them, probably losing the instructions!
