when fitch was out of stock recently, we tried finacard instead and it's really good. i still prefer fitch overall but i thought finacard would be great to stretch the fitch as far as possible, especially now it's gone up in price again. so instead of buying two fitch, i've bought one fitch and one finacard, which saves us nearly £7. it doesn't sound alot, but for the amount we go through, it will really help. i'm not sure we'll get any longer between orders but we'll see how it goes :)

does anyone else mix the two? or mix other beddings? :)

I have Auboise and finacard at the moment. My preference is finacard but my supplier recently run out So I had to buy Auboise. I really liked fitch but the cost was just to much for delivery and storage is an issue.

I think this combo does help the finacard last a bit longer.

i never even considered mixing beddings before but now it seems like an obvious solution :mal: o/h says i get too 'fitch happy' and i have to admit, the cost is a bit too much with the amount i use, so this seems like a good solution.

we transfer it into 80ltr storage boxes and they're stacked high in the corner of our bedroom :lol!: i would like to keep some in the shed but it's not really water tight at the moment

:)) where do you get it from amazon?

i get it directly from their own site. the annoying thing is that they're only about 40mins away from us but we don't drive. i think they're about £8.50 if you collect from them.

these two beddings work really well together so far. i've mixed them 50/50 in plastic storage boxes and there is still 1/3 of a bale of finacard left even though the fitch has run out, so the finacard is packed alot more tightly.

still got three boxes (80ltr) left to go and 1/3 bale of finacard so it's working out well for the moment :)

i don't feel like i have as much spot cleaning to do with this mix although i'm not sure why! but that's good. i'd say they are a little bit more smelly on a mix rather than all fitch but nothing too major :)

Sounds good then. Interesting that the fitch, despite being heavier by 3kg, doesn't go as far as the finacard.
